“Just returned from a vacation in Akumal and had a wonderful Christmas Eve multi-course dinner at Hechizo. We travel every year to the Carib. for the holidays and have had some wonderful meals at well known restaurants. However, nothing comes close to the dining experience here. Not only is the food wonderful and beautifully presented but the service is particularly noteworthy. Hui, from start to finish, is a warm and gracious host. Stefan asked if we had any food allergies or preferences and hearing that my husband did not like scallops prepared him a special appetizer with veal cheeks and risotto that was terrific. Not many restaurants anywhere will give you that much attention. The setting, with the incredible shell collection, is also special. Yes, it's off the beaten path and the prices are higher than other restaurants in the area but it's all worth it.
